Hi i'm new to this so bare with me. been in cronic pain cense 1990. 16 l/knee operts 3 back operts and one pending with plates and screws. Been on Fentenal (300)mg and 300mg morphs since 1999. I don't have to say that life as I know it is a living hell. Could use some help. The VA could care less.

I feel what your going thru the only thing I have to say is that VA has a class called living with cornic pain and it's help me
just having a person to take to thats going thru the same problems with pain and knowing your not alone good luck

I think sometimes, just the act of reaching out, can help the pain. A lot of us have had to have counseling to get where we can accept this is the rest of my life as well as learning other things to help with the pain. For some, accupuncture is a fantastic tool. Massage (Which in your case, may not be too helpful) warm water therapy (read this in the boards at the top), distraction, and all kinds of things.

In my case, I just told the doctors (After reading it on this site) that I was in pain and I wanted some *&^% help. That got some help in a hurry. We tried all kinds of things before settling on the SCS..
