I have suffered from chronic back pain for over 5 years. I have 3 buldging discs in my back that have not been officially diagnosed asbeing the root on my pain. It started on my lower back and has spread into my groin, uppers back, neck and chest. All on my left side. I have run the gammet on treatment, doctors and medications and find myself having depression behavior. I am upset and exhausted from my pain, irritable and just consumed in my mind all day on how to cope and seem normal. I do my best to continue finding more treatments, I am currently working with a Rolfer and doing Yoga, but I am no where near pain free. I have done PT with 3 different therapists anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months at a time. I have tried acupuncture, trigger point injections and every tons of medication. I am not looking for a band-aid I am looking for a solution. In the meantime I feel the depression part of this pain had become a severe issue effecting my work and personal life. Just talking to anyone is helpful so I figured I would reach out on line as well.

thank you

Welcome cnotte.

First, my apologies for missing your post and taking so long to reply.

We're glad you found us and that you're reaching out into cyberspace for help and discussions with others in the same boat as you.

I, too, suffer from back pain, but nothing near like what you've gone thru. And I know it's depressing as all get out!! We hope you'll join us in chats and be active on the boards where you'll find lots of information and people to talk to about your back pain and depression.

Please note that Dr. Borrie has been on leave the past few months and we hope he'll be back soon, but we don't know exactly when.

You are not alone. Keep the faith!!!
