Ive been waitng for over 2 months for my ore-op for a laproscopy. I get a call from urology today to cancel indefinitly. The clinic is being shut down on extremely short notice(today). I asked the nurse if it was due to losing drs or funding and was told to mind my own business. He said they hope was to reopen in 2 weeks but that 90 days was more realistic.2 years ago rheuatology was closed. Then last year the pain clinic and also the cardio fellows shut doqn vor 6 months for restructuring. The teaching hospital was no longer suppplying interns and they had to go a different direction. All 3 directly impacted me. I was on the consult list for rheum for over a year(drastically overbooked) nd was cancelled with no other option. As I hadnt seen rheum yet I wasnt eligeble to go fee based without a consult PC's didnt count). I was at the top of the list for PM when they started to phaze out and been going to cardio since '01.
My prostrate seemed blocke. They had to stop the probe as it was tearing me in half. The rectal exam showed nothing and I have no burning/blockage. Just a bit of hesitantcy due to my pain meds. Should I worry enought to go private sector(the co-pay would hurt us) or just wait til they get reorganized? Also when I had the US done on my "breast" the tech informed me that the mamograms were cut out for our lady Vets britt
